Klopp Speaking about the Great Influence of Champions League for Liverpool
Liverpool manager, Juergen Klopp, hopes his team’s breakthrough into the Champions League will raise their bargaining position in the transfer market.
Liverpool qualified for the Champions League after eliminating the German representative, Hoffenheim, with a 6-3 aggregate in the play-offs.
Finally, Liverpool won 4-2 in the second duel at Anfield Stadium on Wednesday (23/08/2017) local time.
Klopp’s four goals were scored by Emre Can (2), Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino.
Hoffenheim replied via Marc Uth and Sandro Wagner.
Juergen Klopp says that their participation will help his team buy quality new players.
“Qualifying for the Champions League brings a big impact in the transfer market, especially if you get away regularly,” Klopp said.
According to Klopp, playing in the Champions League can affect the perception of players they are looking for.
“It is not easy to find quality players but if we play in the Champions League, they will think that our club is very good and would consider our offer,” Klopp said.
So far, the new Reds team has brought in three players.
They are Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke, and Andrew Robertson.
