Cristiano Ronaldo Wants to Go, It’s Marcelo’s Response
There is no certainty related to the future of Cristiano Ronaldo’s career at Real Madrid. Last week the star did say he wanted to stay at the Bernabeu, but he made three special requests to the club.
The three demands of Ronaldo are, first he asks his tax debt paid by the club. Secondly, he wants a new contract with a higher salary than Barcelona star Lionel Messi. The third, he asked the club to restore his broken relationship with the fans.
So far there has been no news whether Real Madrid will meet the three requests. Thus there is no certainty whether CR7 will survive, or leave to another club this summer.
Responding to that, Real Madrid left-back who is also known as a close friend of Ronaldo, Marcelo also spoke up. The Brazilian player confidently claims that Ronaldo will remain his team mate next season.
“Cristiano Ronaldo? I’m not worried, because many things are reported wrong in the media, “said Marcelo as quoted from Tribalfootball.
“Cristiano knows that staying in Madrid is the best thing for him. We have a very good relationship, not only in the field but also outside. He is a great professional and to me he is the best player in the world.
“No matter what decision he will take this year or 10 years from now, I will always be there to support him,” said Marcelo.
Some time ago Diario Gol reported that Ronaldo’s desire to leave Real Madrid this summer has raised the pros and cons among players El Real.
There are two strongholds among players, the group that wants Ronaldo to survive at the Santiago Bernabeu, and the group of players who are happy if the Portuguese star immediately leave.
The group that wants Ronaldo to go is that they are not happy about the club’s special treatment of the Portuguese star. According to them all players should be treated equally because all contributed in helping Madrid achieve success in the last two seasons.
Who are the players who entered the anti-Ronaldo’s group? They are Isco Alarcon, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Alvaro Morata and Marco Asensio.
The pro-Ronaldo camp is Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo, Keylor Navas, Casemiro and Fabio Coentrao. But with Coentrao and Pepe leaving from Real Madrid this summer, Ronaldo now lacks supporters in Los Blancos’ dressing room.
